Battery Recycling

To ensure that our electric and electronic products are properly disposed of after their useful life, we have partnered with Call2Recycle, a non-profit organization that facilitates battery collection and recycling in Canada.

Call2Recycle prevents hazardous materials, such as heavy metals and toxic chemicals, from entering landfills and the environment by promoting battery recycling. This program supports the responsible disposal and recycling of battery components, reducing pollution and conserving natural resources.

Call2Recycle has established a network of thousands of collection sites across Canada, including retail stores, municipal recycling centers, and community organizations. This extensive network makes it convenient for consumers to drop off their used batteries for recycling.

AIMA pre-pays Environmental Handling Fees (EHF) to ensure the batteries in our Pedal Assist Electric Bicycles can be responsibly recycled at the end of their life. Consumers simply need to gather and drop off their used batteries at a nearby Call2Recycle location.

Retailers can also become partners by becoming listed drop-off points. Call2Recycle arranges the transport of collected batteries to sorting partners, who organize them by chemistry. Processing partners then extract reusable battery components for use in manufacturing new products.
